Fly Fishing in the Jungle

I recently got back from an unforgettable jungle fly fishing trip with a group of clients who were experiencing the jungle for the first time. Watching their responses to the raw beauty and untamed wildness of the jungle was nothing short of magical. It felt like I was seeing it all for the first time again, through their eyes. The excitement on their faces as they landed their first golden dorado was absolutely priceless.

On the final day, I noticed a section of water that was just out of reach for most. It looked too good to be true, and I couldn’t resist making a cast. With one cast, I landed a trophy-sized dorado. To me, these fish symbolize the persistence, perseverance, and patience I’ve put into honing the art of fly fishing, and the things I have learned about myself through my travels and shared experiences. The reward is much greater than the fish itself. Sometimes, we just need to dig a little deeper (or in this case, cast a little further).

Fly fishing in the jungle isn’t just about the catch; it’s about the journey, the experience, and the lessons learned along the way. I am so excited to continue hosting trips such as this and continuing to see others venturing a little deeper!
